This is a linear river corridor with woodland on both margins. The corridor is teaming with wildlife and is in good ecological condition. Paths interlink over the site and there are good connections to the Union Canal corridor and open spaces alongside the Glen Burn corridor. The site is bounded mostly by farmland but is close to recently built residential neighbourhoods.
